The club patron and father of former President Rosella Sensi died on August 17, 2008, ending his 15-year reign in charge of the club.
“On this day four years ago Franco Sensi left us,” wrote captain Totti on his official website.
“I shared a large part of my career and my successes with him, including the Scudetto in 2001.”
Totti was one of the pall-bearers for Sensi’s funeral in Rome.
“On this day, my thoughts go out to him and to ‘General’ Ciro Di Martino, a great friend of the President and Vice-President of Roma.”
Di Martino passed away on July 5 at the age of 87. He had been President, Vice-President and CEO of AS Roma at different times and was nicknamed ‘The General.
